Recruitment Timetable
The Award is open to participants in the sixth year at secondary school .A participant will join one of two Cohorts.
Cohort 1: August/September.
Cohort 2: start the Award in October each year.
Participants are recruited for The Award during S5 and participate in S6 from August/September to June. The timetable
to apply to take part in the Award and the process followed is:
In January participating Schools publish information about the Award and arrange a
presentational meeting.
In February and March Outward Bound Metro visit each participating School and present
information about the Award.
In February, March and April potential participants apply to take part.
By mid May participant selection process is completed by The Mark Scott Foundation and
The Outward Bound Trust assisted by School Champions.
