The Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award is a Programme which is characterised by detailed forward planning and excellent execution. It requires input from a diverse range of sources including, directors of education, head teachers, School champions, participants and their parents or guardians.
The Executive believe that it is very important to ensure that appropriate funding is available before participants take part in the Programme.
To achieve this the Executive review the level of anticipated funding for a particular year prior to recruitment commencing and require full funding for that year to have been received before the Programme year starts in August.
The Mark Scott Foundation and The Outward Bound Trust raise funds to finance the Programme.
The Mark Scott Foundation is a registered charity number SC025254 and does not employ any person or pay any person for raising funds. Its expenses to income ratio is accordingly very low. The Outward Bound Trust is also a registered charity number 313645. It is larger than The Mark Scott Foundation and employs professional staff to achieve its objectives.
